Is this allowed? What about Twitch's rules?
clipfever works from publicly available VODs on channels you have the right to clip — your own stream, or a channel whose content you're permitted to use. It doesn't circumvent subscriber-only or private content. You're responsible for having permission for anything you export and post, exactly as you would clipping by hand. clipfever isn't affiliated with Twitch.
What about copyright and music in the VOD?
A clip inherits whatever was in the stream, including background music — so the same DMCA rules apply as anywhere else. clipfever won't strip or replace audio for you. If a moment sits on top of licensed music, that's a judgement call you make at the review step, before it renders.
Do I need a fast PC or a good GPU?
No. Analysis and rendering run on clipfever's servers, so you only need a browser. Your machine never downloads the full VOD.
Which platforms does it support?
Twitch VODs today, from any public channel. Direct video links, file upload, Kick and YouTube sources are on the roadmap — the waitlist email will say when each lands.
How good is the detection, really?
Good enough to save you the scrubbing, not good enough to trust blindly — which is exactly why the review step exists. It catches loud reactions, chat explosions and moments viewers already clipped. Quiet, dry-funny bits are harder, so you can add those by hand on the timeline.
When do beta seats open?
Seats go out in small batches so the queue stays quick — the beta is deliberately tiny at first. Join the waitlist and you'll get one email when yours is ready, nothing before it.
Who owns the clips?
You do. clipfever renders files and hands them over; there's no watermark and no claim on your output. Working files are cleared out on a schedule rather than kept around forever.
